Jahmal Dinoto is the international musician better known as Rasun for his contribution and creations in reggae, rnb, hip-hop, and a fusion of these and other genres. After spending some time without releasing new music, Rasun just released his latest single titled Energy in August 2023.
The song is a feel-good track with positive vibes, and lyrically, the song offers a powerful and empowering massage to keep going. The song also touches on the themes of self-belief, determination, and resilience.
In the first opening lyrics of the song, Rasun poses a powerful question to the listeners asking, “Can you feel this energy?” This thought-provoking line that is repeated throughout the song , engages with the listeners by inviting them to reflect on their own connection with the song. It also challenges listeners to tap into their own inner-strength and embrace the positive energy that surrounds them.
This song is not just a catchy song, but it is a personal mantra for those who resonate with the message. Rasun’s voice combined with the energetic instrumentation makes it impossible to resist tapping your feet and moving your body to the rhythm. It would be great for celebrating, as motivation to keep going while working out, and it can be played on a night out or a long-distance drive.
The beat is relatable/familiar but different from what Rasun usually creates. It is definitely a good song choice for anyone seeking to uplift their mood with an energetic and enjoyable musical experience. Though it carries connotations of drinking and smoking weed, it encourages getting up and going towards what you want to do. “Let’s go, Let’s go.”
“Energy” can appeal to listeners who enjoy reggae, rnb, pop, and various other genres. It’s available on all major streaming platforms. He also has social media accounts, Rasun, which fans can follow to find out more about his latest single and other projects that he’s working on.

I am discovering me. Figuring out who it is that I want to be. Flowetic at times, poetic though my lines won't always rhyme. Beyond a star, although never a mime. I am kind, I'm ambitious, self-driven and free-spirited shoo-in. I have followed, flipped heads from tails, now I'm ready to lead. Ready to heed to my calling. Inspired to explore my creative nature, through interacting and learning about the different forms of art. Living in the present and excited for the future. My focus right now is void of credentials, I choose potential~Kinetically, it's what makes us influential.
