Jinger Stone’s “Colder Than Water” is pretty warm

“Colder Than Water” by Team Distant is a catchy and tuneful song. This melodic composition has a contemporary sound that is powerful, rhythmic, and angular. Talented vocalist, Jinger Stone, who has a rich vocal tone and consistent pitch range, performes this song. She expresses her emotions through her lyrics, making it simple to grasp the mood of the song. The best description I can give of this song is that it is slowly infectious; it’s hard to get bored of, and one finds themselves returning to it frequently.

I had mixed feelings about the lyrics. She introduced some topics which are thought provoking and inspiring but then left them hanging which became confusing. Instrumentally, the song has a rich, full accompaniment that complements the vocal track perfectly. The beat is solid and has an engaging rhythm that grabs and carries you along. Jinger described the song genre as “Afro House Electrictronic”. Both vocally and instrumentally, the performance quality is high throughout. Overall, the song is catchy and tuneful, and I think it has strong commercial potential.
